Greetings Champions, it seems I've been doing a lot of apologizing for the lateness of the blog of late. I've had a lot on my plate, and a lot of things have happened that are beyond my control and my health. But it's still here, and so am I apparently. Is it cold enough for you all, I bet there wont be many bikes out on the road over the next few weeks. It's been interesting watching the prices of bikes , especially collectable bikes seemingly go through the roof. Just last week we managed to get out hands on a 916SP3. Personally I did not know that they badged the SP, but they did. It turns out they are exactly the same as the SP model, but Ducati badged them. It came with the original cover and bag, plus another set of exhausts, and an original from the factory works manual, which in itself is a stunning find. Now we got the bike for a crazy good price considering that it only has 12000k's  on the clock and has sat in a garage for 20 years. It is mint. But we discovered later that day that it is worth double that, so blown away I was. I've noticed that the older Tonti Guzzi's have started to slide up in price too. The Le Man 1 and 2 are starting to fetch some good money. Along side these the 8 valve Ducati range has risen dramatically even in the past year. A Tri Color ( the first of the 8 valves) is mid to high 20's now, three years ago you could have got on for low teens. So keep your eyes out for any Italian mid 70's to mid 80's bike with a bit of a racing heritage, buy well and hold on a for a few years. Oh, and for god sake ride them. No point in having a workshop queen, selling it and never not know what it was like to ride them. They are amazing. My 851 is such a blast to ride, the induction noise is breath taking. So during these colder months, get on the net have a search all around the world, see what you can find and start collecting. Anyways enough I hear you say, on with the blog. Enjoy and share, or even leave a comment, I always like hearing from you all.

  5. Thanks Grant, some cracking good shots there. My favourite, the BM with rider absolutely ON IT. I'm thinking the Spondon is actually a Harris framed Duke, as manufactured by Sport Motorcycles' Steve Wynne. Who as you may know is now a NZ resident.
