Well, what an interesting week it's been. managed to get the remainder of the parts required for the R Nine T that I am re building, that's a major win. The garage is turning out to be a fine place at long last. So the R Nine T is going to be ridden on the next Lizard ride and then I am pretty sure that it will be up for sale. Went to Hampton Downs on Friday and spent the day with a whole bunch of  people celebrating Hugh Andersons induction into the MotoGP Hall of fame. It was a very special day with many stories of the old Continental Circus, and  of Hugh's life on the road racing motorcycles. He certainly is a very interesting character, with many amazing racing tales. I could only sum it all up as a life well lived. It was great to catch up and re-acquaint myself with many people who I have not seen for a long time and to meet new people as well. I always feel a bit embarrassed though, when someone comes up and says "come on you guys, want to get a photo of some of New Zealand legends". I shrink at the mention as I was only ever a track day hack at best and I most certainly do not have the pedigree that most of the people in that room have. I'm standing with IOM racers, 24 Hour Le Man racers, motorcycle champions, Castrol 6 hour winners, 500 GP racers and I think to myself "shit I won a Central Sound of Thunder meeting at Manfield one weekend" and that was that. So I am grateful that I can mix with these people, these legends of NZ motorcycle racing and enjoy their company. Sure I did more than a few years sponsoring and running teams but it all seems to pale into insignificance when I are standing talking to these people. So anyway I really enjoyed the day and the people. Thank you all. And here I am now full of the lurge not able to do anything, so thought " may as well get another installment out". Here it is for your enjoyment.
