Well greetings to you all' As usual I lead with an apology, but it's been a hell few months thats for sure. I've been back to Wellington three times in the last 7-8 weeks and heading there again in a few days. It just seems that my trial and test regime seem to have collided a bit and I've had to see all sorts of different people and doctors. But hey it is what it is, and on the good side, I appear to be getting better again. All my indicators are normal and everything seems to be tracking well. So I'm back to making plans again and getting shit sorted out. The summer months are just around the corner and I want to get away for a few weeks down south when the weather is warm and dry. Hope you all have plans in the making to do the same. Had an amazing moment a couple of days ago. I'd just been out on a Multistrada for a bit of a head clear, and was coming along my road at a fair clip. It was strange because I was thinking to myself that I'd be in trouble if I saw a po po coming the other way, so I slowed down on the last two straights to my house. First straight I'm down to just under license losing speeds, second straight I'm down to ( apparently ) 134K's. I know this because just as I was thinking about buttoning off over the brow of the hill comes a po po. He brakes and pulls over, I do a right hand turn straight into my drive, down the drive, off the bike, garage door open, but not quick enough to see the po po walking down my drive towards me. " Do you know how fast you were going?". That usual question to incriminate yourself straight away. " No I replied I was to intent on checking the bike out as I've just this minute serviced it and replaced brakes, oils and shit you know". He looks behind me and can see several Ducatis, a couple of moto guzzi's and Kawasaki's. He asks what I do, so I tell him I restore classic Italian motorcycles, he tells me that he has just bought a GSXR600. I comment that they are a pretty nice bike. He then says while holding his phone " I wont ticket you for that speed', but I'll give you a ticket for 90. I was pretty pleased, but then he says "actually I won't give you a ticket, have a good day eh?". Result!!!!! I thanked him, still not quite believing what has just happened and watched him walk up the drive and disappear. How's that? I guess it just goes to show they are not all that bad.
Anyways people and the faithful here's this months Blog for you all to enjoy. Cheers and see you out there.

  5. Thanks Grant, always a pleasure , re the cops , it’s usually quota related and what the higher ups instruct , They would rather let “normal” people slide , I have been let go as much as pinged so can not complain , should try and remain civil as they do need to deal with the worst of society , it must drain you at times
