Good day to you all. Apologies for not getting this out in a timely fashion this week. Bloody G mail has changed it's operating system somewhat and all the images that I loaded went west somewhere out into the ether. So i had to go back and find them. Then they loaded up a very small images, so had to go through and make them large again. Sometimes technology just gets you, know what I mean? But never the less, here we are again, a Monday morning. Went for a nice wee ride yesterday which was bloody good, had a friend on a brand new RSVR rrrrr Tuono which I have to say is a bloody beautiful motorcycle. Two of my other mates both with extensive motorcycling racing pedigrees said that it was the fastest bike they had ridden, and that the bike seems to have no flywheel effect, it floats into corners with no engine braking. Shit you just have to see the technology that these things have, launch control, wheelstand angle height, lean sensors, electronic suspension, wheel sensors, the list goes on and on. Makes me shudder as to what you would do if it grinds to a halt on the side of the road in the middle of no where. I mean where would you start. But I guess that's the same for most modern bikes these days. They all seem so bloody reliable now don't they? But as we werew riding I got to thinking out of the 20 or so guys I ride with, there are only 4 bikes the same, two Honda adventure things and 2 KTM adventure things. The rest is Harleys, BMW's, a lone Honda ( no one seems to buy Japanese anymore, all the bikes are European and the lone American). So the conversations at coffee stops is always interesting to say the least. Speaking of which, I saw the release of images of next years retromodGSXR, which looks like the original GSXR, and it is the first bike in a long long time from Japan that I've looked at and thought "Hmm that IS nice, perhaps I will buy that one". So who knows. The search for the perfect motorcycle is fraught with decisions, needs and desires. And dare I say it, there is not one single Ducati in their range that i have looked at and thought " that;s a bit of me". perhaps if they did a retro 916 I might get tickled up to have a look. So anyways the search for the elusive 'forever' modern bike goes on. Glad that I have my retro old, and retro new. Motorcycling, isn't it a wonderful thing. Well enough I hear you say on on. here's this weeks installment for you all to enjoy.

These Australian trailers are pretty cool. I know a shit load of people who would love to have these.

I just love triple engined triples

Finger chopping device

Everyone just has to enjoy themselves

A stunning motorcycle that's for sure

I'm still not convinced that this is a good motorcycle, have to see one in the flesh

This made me laugh, read the words, what a crack up.

You all know, I like these, and this ones pretty nice.

Ouch, I think that I'm going to be unwell.
Now these are cheap!!!!! But one day they will be expensive.

yes, the only way to cool down your lady bits is to ride a Vespa

beautiful motorcycle, well done.

Now, I loaded this image last week in preparation for this weeks blog, after lasts night MotoGp how close to the mark was I?

Kawasaki always were out there with their color schemes.

There's a little restaurant in there that i spent an entire afternoon at, drinking red wine, eating pasta and watching the people walk by. great memories
These next three images are of racing at Ruapuna, BEARS. taken by M Breen. The first one is Dave Cole on my Superlight. It was a nice bike, not particularly fast in my hands, but in Dave's it was pretty good. And I was actually sponsored by Lion breweries, which was pretty unheard of then, or even now.

Now this is nice

This would have to be the nicest FZ I've ever seen.

Flat side goodness.

yes, even a twin engine Harley can make it into the blog.

Had one of these, they were mental when they came out.

Double A making his way in the world of Superbike racing. I was always torn with him, he is a Kiwi racing on the world stage, so you wanted him to do well, but I was a ducati man, so always wanted them to win. It was a confusing time.

Watched Jason McEwan ride this bike in anger, it was the bike, that really got me into racing and Ducati.

I recall my trip through Ducati, a visit to the race department, almost unheard of in those days, there were 8 valve engines everywhere, all broken and the dyno rooms looked like a splatter movie. It was almost tragic to see.

Really? Well done that brave bugger

Was lucky to be able to drive one of these in anger back in the early 80's. had to deliver it from London, to southern England somewhere ( I don't know where, I just had to deliver it). it was epic.

I need one of these pipes, if anyone has one sitting gathering dust.

These things are just plain awesome. I'm definitely going to watch them race.

Oh yes!!!!!!!!!!!

Well that's about me. Done and dusted, pretty tired, haha
