Friday has come again, shit it's going fast that's for sure. Busy old week sorting business and getting the shop back in order again. Had a couple of bikes out the door as well, so that's all good. I've got a busy weekend ahead of me, sorting out the workshop, it's seems a never ending situation that's for sure. Had an amazing ride last week, right up to the top and caught up with some amazing people that are doing really good things in our motorcycle corner of the world. Stopped at a workshop out of Auckland, more bevels and Gileras than you could poke a stick at plus a beautiful Moto Guzzi sitting there. Then onto Croz's place to say G'day and look at his nice race bikes and custom Kawasakis being put together. Then after that off to another undisclosed location where there were MV Agustas, one had been built for Ago and Bentley race cars and all sorts of amazing historical stuff. Sitting on a bench, just sitting there were the original Mike Hailwood fairings from 'that' bike, just sitting there and a genuine works Norton Van. Made me laugh that that should find it's way here. Then of to another undisclosed location where there were Spondon Ducatis bevel Ducatis Sports, bevel race bikes and just an amazing collection of all sorts of stuff that would make any purist's eyes water. Had a great time riding with the Lizards and really enjoyed the riding. The poor old Ducati got a bit of a pasting in road shit, and I got absolutely soaked seeing as I still have not replaced my good riding gear yet.
Some of the Lizards out riding, well drinking actually.
As we crossed on the ferry to Russell some bikes arrived behind us. They got off and one guy asks Scotty "you guys aren't lizards are you". We all cracked up.
No show pony, it gets used
Loved the way the Distributor cap just sits there
