Greetings to you all again. Sorry it's been a while, but I have been busy collecting my bikes and getting them all run in and ready for the next ride with my mates. Had a few things go wrong with the Guzzi, but all pretty minor things, and things that you'd kind of expect. Did a quick day trip around the Coromandel, when I got to the township of Coromandel, it was pointed out to me that the pinch bolts on the front axel weren't there and that the rear axel pinch bolt was missing too. Funny as it had only passed its warrant of fitness 4 days previous. And the last time the wheels were taken off was to have new tyres put on the thing. All by the same shop. Lesson learnt, check your bike afterwards. The axels wouldn't have gone anywhere, but still a bit un-nerving. Anyways it was a great ride even though it pissed down and I got pretty soaked through. Second ride out I had failed to do up the tappet cover oil breather properly and as a result I got a fine mist of oil all over the engine , swing arm and rear tyre, so dodged that bullet too. All in all it's gone pretty well and I am starting to enjoy Guzzi ownership again. I wish that I had my garage up, so that i could avoid these issues, it's far far better to have your own bikes up on your own stands doing your own work. Now there's another story still no garage, all down to Covid and lack of staff apparently in Auckland is now the delay. Starting to get pretty pissed at this really. So, I have a couple of my bikes back, I've been for a few rides, got a big ride planned, and got some more fishing organized for early next month. A couple of nights sleeping out under the stars on the beach, with trout everywhere, really looking forward to that. So here we are mid February, lets get this blog out, here it is enjoy.

Just love these, an old mate of mine has on sitting in his garage and has done for about the last 20 years. Just sitting there with a new clutch on the seat. waiting, such a pity

Go to the Depot in Auckland, well worth the trip.

I am going to visit one day.

Some images of the last ride I took the Diavel on.

We discussed long and hard into the night about the types of bikes we all now ride, it seems quite strange that there has been a monumental shift away from Japanese bikes. There are a couple left in the group, but a very well defined shift to European motorcycles. I seem to recall the general consensus was that the UJM has no design or soul. I got to thinking there isn't one Japanese motorcycle on the market at the moment where I have thought " oh shit that's tasty, I've got to have one of them".

I love this time of year when all the MotoGP bikes come out in their new livery. It makes the few couple of races a bit difficult, but I still love it. These Yamaha look nice

These people are too greedy

Just take a moment, that's all I ask.

A very ggod race image taken here in NZ. It epitomizes all that motorcycle racing is about.

I think it looks kind of good actually.

I kind of like the no chrome look. I've had a few people ask " why no chrome?". Well I think it looks brand new but still old school.

Who knew eh, who knew?

Well folks, that's all for this time. Hope you enjoyed it. Once again I apologise for the time between blogs, but things happen, and the blog will always be here for you all. See you all soon.
