Well, winter is really dragging it arse. Haven't been out on a bike in what seems like ages. My new garage ( the on going saga), is dragging a bit too. This weather has held up my new floor paint system, as it's to cold to cure. So the final two coats are going down this week now. The last job is to put the two final bits of flashing up, and then it's a call to council to get it inspected and signed off and hopefully consent will be given. Post this, the garage is now finished, All compliant and ready to start work again.
So in the meantime, I may as well go fishing. Had a great couple of days down on the river with a few of the Tauranga lizards, caught a few and lost a few seemed to be the call of the day. But shit I love standing in that river catching trout and watching my mates have a great time too. It's very similar to a lizard ride away, a few bourbons, a glass of wine or two, great food, and more than a few tales to be told. I find motorcyclists a particular type of person, all personable, and always ready with a joke or a quick tale, and this transposes over into the fishing type of people as well. So a good laugh was had by all.
Been reading about the two latest deaths at the IOM this morning, so tragic for a father and son to be lost in the same incident. It always raises the old topic of  why do they do it? It's a hard one to answer that's for sure. And it's not really very easy to explain it to people who don't understand it, or even comprehend to IOM. Yes it is very tragic, and sad, but it's also one of the most amazing places to go to and compete in. The feeling on the island is palpable, it is infused into everything that happens there, it is a personal journey for so many, the riders know that they are out on the edge, dancing with the potential dangers, but they are prepared to risk that for the ultimate thrill of racing the IOM and coming away with the knowledge that they have tested themselves to the maximum and have won. Long may it continue. And if you have never been then you owe it to yourself to go and experience the IOM TT.

This paintwork is simply stunning

Just purchased one of these for the shed. I hope it's everything that it says it is. If it is I will buy another

Thumping along. I've only ever been in one big ocean going yacht, but when they pick up and go, they go.

I mean how far over do you have to go before calling it an accident

Somehow these guys have made the Diavel look even better
