Friday 22 December 2017

Hey there everyone, hows your December going? Christmas has rushed up and bite me on the backside that's for sure. 2017, boy just about everything happened thats for sure. Sold over 40 bikes this year which is good and completed 3 customs which is even better. Now that I've got my shop back in order I'm looking forward to doing a few more customs as opposed to just selling bikes. Got a couple of block courses set for next year to brush up on some old skills so looking forward to that. Shit I still cant believe that this year has gone so quickly. Didn't get to do as many rides as I would have liked, but our weather has been pretty crap that's for sure. Looking forward to a summer though and a few rides are being planned right now. Just hope that I am up for some of them. I also think that I may get a trip to Qatar next year as well, it will be interesting to see a night time GP.
I went and watched the first round of the Suzuki series this weekend just gone, and was I impressed, the racing has just got better all of a sudden, and there was plenty of fast action. My friends have got in behind Jacob Stroud this year on the Kramer and the MV, so it was nice to kind of be involved in a racing scene again. But I have to say the star for me was Jessie Stroud, 14 years old and fastest in his class, this little fellow is one to watch that's for sure. he cant race at our cemetery circuit this year because he's too young!!!!! He was only 1.5 seconds off of his dads time on the KTM390, so pretty impressive. Perhaps NZ's next champion, I think so.
Anyways here's the Christmas issue, it's big because I don't quite know whats going to happen over the next few weeks, so enjoy, thank you for your support over the year, your comments and correspondence it has been great.

A scene well known to most Kiwi bike riders, getting packed into the ferry for the trip across the ditch.

You most definitely can't beat Wellington on a good day.

Outside my local on a Thursday night.

Classic and lovely, this bike has stance, look, style, and of course it's Italian through and through.

This is a tank body being heat treated!!!!!

 Rebound set wrong me thinks

And that's a wrap. I hope you all have had a great year, thanks for your support and ride fast out there.
