Well, as the heading says No matter how bad your day is, this blog and a ride on your motorcycle will make you feel better. Motorcycles, isn't that the truth. My entire life has revolved around motorcycles and the friends I have made as a result of them. All we seem to talk about ( apart from this racist divisive government that we have) is about motorcycles. Rides coming up, rides we have had, builds we are working on, it all revolves around motorcycles. Every single person I know and call my friends are all the same, consumed by this one unifying passion. We even have a regular Wednesday bike clinic, where we work on bikes, watch an amazing engineer do his thing to his and our bikes, and it has become a regular fixture in our weekly schedule. We have a first Wednesday of the month dinner which doesn't last too long but the discussions are all about motorcycles and the people we have met as a result of that. It's a great little interlude out from the normality of our lives. Discussions this week turned very quickly to our up coming ride around the East cape again, and to the people who now can't make that ride due to covid restrictions. Still the numbers are at 17 for the ride, which is perhaps just a bit too much, but still ok. When I get the Guzzi back I will look at going to a few of the Italian groups meetings as well. I am sure that they all talk the same language, and I will take my bike on some of their rides. Looking forward to this summer thats for sure. So here's to motorcycles and to you all. What's that old saying I wouldn't have meet 1/2 the interesting people I know if it wasn't for motorcycles. Isn't that the truth

ReplyDeleteGrant mate - excellent as usual but the politcal call in the commentary feel wrong. It's not about agreeing or disagreeing (quid each way tbh) but in this great internet toilet of steaming shouty fuckwits it's always calming to come to a cathedral of goodness where we're just about bikes.
ReplyDeleteFrom the other side of the world mate, cheers for the blog. Always an hour well spent
