Well that's about it for the year. It's been a wild old ride thats for sure. Highlights?...going to England and spending some fine time in middle England in middle summer with the roof down, and a country pub on every corner. Lowlights?.. Covid, pneumonia, falling off of the remission wagon and a 'heart event' which saw me back in hospital. Other lowlights?... well they know who they are. So yes 2024, not the best year. Having said that the trial that I am on is working, so that's a plus, a big plus actually. Got a new motorcycle ( not entirely sure now but this must be at the top end of owning 125-130 odd motorcycles in my life not counting the ones I bought to sell., provided a few motorcycles for my friends as well, so everyone is Multistrada'd up so to speak. I've got a wedding to go to in the new year which I am really looking forward to, and I will become a grand father for the first time which I am really looking forward to. Just a pity she will be born in Australia. Not the Australian part, the fact that I will have to travel there to see her. It would be better if she was just down the road. Some interesting images this installment. I found an engine web site that had literally hundreds and hundreds of engine images. I found them quite interesting, and thought you might too. Got the NDR to look forward too early next year. I haven't been to one since I spoke there in Masterton way back when. I got pretty liquored that night, that's for sure. Had a great time though, so looking forward to catching up with old friends and new. Going to Wanganui for the races ( of course), that should be good. I've got house guests but they can do without me for a day. So sitting here reading this it all sounds pretty busy, but I'm on Doctors orders and being very quiet and calm, not exerting myself and being very circumspect actually. So Christmas is just a couple of days away. I hope you have all had a good year ( better then me that is haha). Thanks for your continued support and comments re the site, I do appreciate it that you take the time to let me know what you like and how you feel. Keep it up. So Merry Christmas to you all and look afetr yourselves. Oh drink plenty, eat plenty and ride your bikes at any opportunity.

These front ends are getting pretty busy these days

Robert on the podium. Great to see this image

Check out the staff cars, I think there is even a PC Cresta in there.

Now years ago I was given the Diary of Samuel Pepps to read. It was the most confounded damn book that I had even laid eyes on. I threw it away three or four times it was that frustrating. But I kept going back to finish the bloody things. ( it was 1500 hundred pages of small print). The book chronicled the times of 1600's London and is about one of the only documented writing of the time. Well I did finish it and threw the book away. But every so often his name keeps popping up and today this image of a coffee house in East London appeared on my desktop stating that Samuel Pepps used to come here to have a coffee. That blew me away.

These AI images are amazing

He can even do it going the other way.

Mmmmmmmmm.........

Malcolm Smith recently passed away RIP. What a guy. On Any Sunday was an amazing movie made all the better for having him in it.

The craftsmanship is amazing

Just about perfect. No fuck it, it is perfect.

So how did the Mayans know about this?

BMS in Wellington, a great old fashioned motorcycle selling British parts to the masses, racing shit loads of motorcycles, and sponsoring many a great rider.

So that's all for this year 2024/ Not the best but not the worst. Health has been a bit up and down, but otherwise all good. So have a great Christmas and New Year and I will see you on the other side so to speak. Ciao.
