Well the covid thing didn't pan out at all. Found myself in hospital for 11 days with Pneumonia and all sorts of other infections. Thought at one stage that I was going to die, but the great nursing staff helped me all along the way. Fantastic people, as are the ambo staff. So the ex came and picked me and my dog up and took me back to Wellington to recover as I had a drug trial to attend at the end of the month and I wasn't sure if I could drive or not. So spent some time in Wellies recovering and then drove home. I'm still not a hundy, but I am getting better. Man this Covid thing is nasty. We tend to have forgotten it actually, but during my time in hospital 2 people succumbed to it, and now having experienced it, it's not nice especially when you put Pneumonia on top of it. I was struggling to draw a breath and this sent my heart into all sorts of spastic beats, not good. A mate of mine in England has a son who is in a bit of trouble with a collapsed lung from Covid. So a word of caution, if you have a cold or a virus wear a mask, avoid people, use antiseptic hand wash and keep your hands away from your face. That's the health message for the month. Now onto motorcycles and all things that we enjoy. I hope you enjoy this installment, as there are some pretty nice bikes in amongst this lot, god there are some talented people out there building, restoring, and customising bikes. Oh and hasn't the racing in MotoGP and WSBK been fantastic. I watched the 2nd SBK race from Portimao this morning god what a race. SBK is getting exciting again. Good to see Kawasaki's, Yamaha's and Ducatis racing the BMW's. Quite a mix of bikes and rider talent. I see the Ducati rally for early next year is in tauranga, so I think I will go to that one and catch up with some old friends, looking forward to that.
So here's the blog, enjoy
