well the lizard ride has been and gone. I made it to Wellington but had doctors appointments to go to, so missed the Southern part of the trip. it looks like it was a great ride. Lots of images of massive bruising coming in now haha.. Scotty ditched his Panavision in the drink, Mick went tits up somewhere, and there are some big torso bruising images. This is what happens when old guys still think that they can dirt bike ride like they used too. But hey they were out there doing it, so full kudos to them. Wished I could have been there.. So I'm guessing the bikes will be put away for a while and the planning for the next ride will commence. As I missed out on this ride I will probably pick a fine spell and head that way by myself once I get shit sorted out here. Just watched the first round of MotoGP, I cant believe how fast they are, and how our mainstream media miss out on all the action. It's like there is a taboo on our sport, it cant be shown as being too much fun. Or a great way to beat all this climate bullshit, and traffic congestion. It just seems to be that motorcycling is relegated to the back seat. Having said that I see plenty of bikes out and about while travelling up and down this country, and they all seem to be ridden by middle aged white men. Exception to this rule is the gangster's. But predominantly white middle class guys out having a ball. I think thats because when this group was in their teens, motorcycles were an acceptable form of cheap transport, and invariably their parents and grandparents all rode 'a BSA' back in the day, and saw nothing wrong with them. I wonder what motorcycling will look like in 25 years time, probably gone, the way of the horse and cart no doubt. So lets enjoy it while we can eh. Get out there and enjoy yourselves. Bit of a mixed bag this week, normally the images follow my train of thinking for the week, so my mind must have been all over the place haha. Enjoy
